SSS, Cover Reveal, and GIVEAWAY!!!

So has everyone heard about my newest book releasing in just ONE month?!?!?

The Dom with a Safeword

It's a contemporary erotic BDSM M/f/f romance (phew!) co-authored with Cari Silverwood and Sorcha Black. Let me just tell you, this has been soooo much fun to write. It may sound confusing to have three authors writing one book but there are three main characters so we each took one character and alternated chapters. So you get a slightly different vibe with each of the characters. And pulling together each of our strengths as writers, we have a really wonderful book I think you'll enjoy. So I hope you'll check it out. Remember, release day is HALLOWEEN!!!

So here is my big COVER REVEAL!!!! Under that is my SSS. AND... I'm giving away an ARC to one lucky winner to leaves a comment with their email address. I'll draw a winner at the end of the week.

About three steps into her rush for the door, she was caught. The next second, she found herself pinned, face down, bent over the table, Jude’s heavy body holding her down.

A harsh whisper tickled her ear. “Your safeword is ghost. If you say it, we stop. No other word will work. Say yes if you understand.”

Hmmm. What would you say if Jude looked like this...

Tattoo Nation

Today I’m talking about a topic very near to my heart – but not too near cause that shit hurts on your chest!
Tattoos!

I got my first tattoo the very day I turned eighteen, which I’ve recently decided should be illegal. My best friend at the time brought me and paid for it – I think she was more excited than I was. I picked a random picture off the wall and since I was always a good kid, this was my own form of teenage rebellion. Ha! An ugly stain on my skin for eternity. Take that parents! Sidenote: I’ve since covered that one.

The pain didn’t scare me much – still doesn’t. I don’t go looking for needles to jab myself with, but I know the pain is temporary and I have a pretty high tolerance for it. As evidenced by, not one tattoo on my foot, but one original then one cover-up. So technically, I’ve been tattooed on my foot twice. I don’t recommend it, by the way. There are far easier spots that are just as nice.

Since my very first tattoo was on my upper back, I rarely saw it and mostly forgot about it. In the next several years, I marked my body with four more tattoos. Some brilliant, some not so brilliant. I’ve covered or modified my tattoos almost as often as I’ve put new ones on my body. At the time – this was about ten years ago – tattoos were just starting to spread from mostly bikers and prisoners to the general population. But I was still one of few in my circle of friends and considered pretty damned cool for getting one.

I took a tattoo break when I had my kids – did the whole mom thing. Or what I thought was the mom thing that didn’t really fit who I am inside. Why does being a mom mean you have to wear cardigans and take out most of your piercings?

When I turned thirty I said, to hell with it. I’m getting another tattoo.

And my, how the world has changed in the last decade!

I live in the city – a small city but still a city. There are two colleges nearby. One, right in my city, and the state university is in the town next door. I sit at Starbucks a lot to write. Or the little privately owned hipster coffee shop downtown. And eighty percent of the young adults that walk into both places are tattooed. I don’t mean they have a little heart on their hip where no one will ever see it. I mean women – no, girls – have entire sleeves tattooed on one or both arms. Several down their legs, back, necks, everywhere! Nothing is off limits anymore.

And it’s not just college kids either. Grandmothers are getting their grandkids names tattooed. Professional career men are covered beneath their formal wear. Now that I’ve grown up – kinda sorta – I worried for a fleeting moment that getting more tattoos was a bad idea. What will my body look like when I’m old and wrinkly? Well, I’ll tell you. It’ll look just like every other American’s old, wrinkled up, tattooed body because most people in my generation have them now anyway. It’ll look normal.

So after I turned 30, I got my 6th tattoo. Then I went a little tattoo crazy. I blame an early mid-life crisis. Or maybe I’ve always been a freak and just repressed it through my late twenties. I’m not really sure. Anyway, I got a brand new tattoo, covered two, then got my nose pierced (which I’d always wanted to do but never did because I thought since I was a mom I should look like, I don’t know, June Cleaver? Stepford wife? Whatever.).

I have an appointment next month for my seventh tattoo (I’ll post pics on facebook) and in the summer I plan to extend one on my leg to connect to the one on my foot. I’m a Johnny fan (if you didn’t already know) and this sums up my philosophy on tattoos:

So…how about you? Do you have tattoos? Do you like them but never got one? Are you afraid of them, fascinated, considering getting one? I wanna hear all about it. Leave me a comment and I’ll be replying on and off all day.

18+ Blog Hop and Giveaway!!! (And Snippet)

Welcome to the Paranormal G-spot!!!

AND....

I love this hop cause it means I get to pick a sexy scene from my books and post it and you all know it's coming! Lol.

So if you've been to my site, you might know I primarily write steamy paranormal romance novels with alpha heroes. But once in a while I like to branch out into the erotic world. My first contemporary erotic romance is called 31 Flavors of Kink. And that's what I'll be giving away for the hop (1 e-copy). Just fill out the rafflecopter below to enter.

I also have a snippet and blurb for my newest contemp erotic called, The Dom with a Safeword. It's co-written with steampunk erotic writer extraordinaire, Cari Silverwood and fantasy erotic writer Sorcha Black.

So without further delay, here's the snippet and blurb!

He took several steps closer, a stern set to his jaw and a determined look in his eye. Now why did that fill her with dread at the same time as making her flush with excitement?

His hand reached out as he stared down at Sabrina. “Bring them here,” he ordered.

Instinct had her moving toward him before logic kicked in. Why was she obeying him so easily? She did Q, most of the time, but that was because Q had proven she wouldn’t take no for an answer. Apparently all Sabrina needed was to hear a stern tone and she turned into a puppet. How annoying.

He kept eye contact the entire long-ass journey from the closet to where he stood. When she placed the cuffs in his hand, he looked at Q. “Do you know how these work?”

Q looked a little less affected by his presence but still nodded obediently.

Gaze back on her, he said, “Give me your wrists.”

She hesitated, looking to Q for help. Her eyes were locked on Jude. Sabrina’s silent pleas went unanswered. Some friend, she huffed. Where was that damn crop when she needed it?

His voice drew her back. “Afraid I’ll trap you in my sex lair, Jersey girl?”

Hmph. Not one to back down from a challenge, she slapped her hand into his. With a smirk, he wrapped the first cuff around her wrist. He took his time fastening first one then the other securely. His expression remained focused but every once in a while he looked in her eyes, as if checking her reaction.

Her heart thudded in her ears. Swallowing was suddenly difficult. Each touch felt like electricity sizzling across the sensitive skin on her wrist. Her eyes fluttered closed as she soaked in each sensation. Hard, uncompromising cuffs, callous but gentle hands. It blended together and put her in some kind of mind-numbing haze.

She realized he’d stopped touching her and popped open her lids. Jude was there, his lips quirked up in an amused but sexy smile. She looked down at her bound wrists – one cuff on each, with two buckles fastened, and a length of leather hanging off each. She could tell the two could connect if he chose to buckle them together. Or perhaps onto something, like a headboard or railing. An image came to mind – her tied, spread-eagle to a bed, Q stalking around her like a lion assessing tasty prey. And damn if she didn’t get wetter.

She gave her head a shake and twisted her wrists this way and that. Funny how her movement wasn’t constricted yet they still made her feel trapped – in a deliciously exciting way “So…” she said, forcing her voice not to betray her arousal. “You do this to women then?”

He pinned her with an honest glare. “I do. When they want me to. I don’t lure little girls who don’t want it.” He gave her an ironic grin. “But you…” His finger traced her bottom lip. “You look like you need it.”

Blurb

Late at night, on an amateur ghost hunt, Sabrina and her best friend Q are caught trespassing by the gorgeous, blonde Jude. The embers of attraction between them sizzle when they discover Jude’s kinks match their own. Jude is a Dom on his last summer of freedom before starting the prison sentence that is med school. Q is a badass bi switch who knows what she wants, and for years it’s been her cute, doe-eyed straight friend Sabrina. But the only way for Q into Sabrina’s heart and panties may be with Jude’s fist wrapped in her hair.

Domming the bratty Q and mischievous Sabrina isn’t going to be easy but Jude relishes the challenge. At the end of the summer, will they find a way to stay together when everything is tearing them apart?
Release of The Dom with a Safeword is scheduled for Halloween so stay tuned for more! And remember to check out all the blogs on the 18+ blog hop!!!

First Snippet of My Newest Project!!!

I'm so excited my writer's block seems to have cleared and I've started a new, unexpected project at my writer's retreat this weekend!!!

Book 5 of my PNR series Shadows of Destiny!!!

For more about the retreat and my journey to writing book 5, click here.

For the fast track to the excerpt, stay where you are. Yes, I'm being lazy. I have limited time this week and I don't want to post the same, or nearly the same, thing twice. So be a friend and click the link to read the nice little story on that blog. Also, there's bonus snippet there.

So. Back to PNR. Covert Destiny is the name and it's Kieran's story!!! Do you guys remember him? The charming, dimpled fae prince from book 2? Well, the sly bastard demanded to be written so I'm going with it. This book is very different than my others but I think you'll like it. Here's a sneak peek.

Covert Destiny:

Kieran bent to pick up a stone when his pointed ears twitched. He froze, scanning his surroundings, searching for the threat his fae instincts detected. A flash of movement to the right caught his attention and he spun toward the tall fence covered in creeping vines. Silently, he moved closer. Now that he knew where to look, it was hard to miss the outline of a black figure against the fence.

“Halt!” Kieran commanded.

The figure scrambled up the fence. But Kieran was faster. He grabbed the agile intruder by the ankle and pulled until he fell to the ground with an umph.

Kieran grasped onto the black hooded shirt and hoisted him to stand, holding him still when he struggled. His size was not much bigger than a child. A rebellious teenager perhaps? The hood covered most of his face and Kieran yanked it back.

The intruder grunted. He spun the figure to face him then gasped. The mysterious figure wasn’t a he at all. He was a she.

Pale hair pulled back in a pony tail framed her creamy skin. Her pointy ears stuck out around wisps of hair and small fangs flashed in the moon light as she bit down on her plump bottom lip. But her eyes...gods, almighty, her eyes were like storm clouds on a rainy afternoon – a complex blend of grays and blues.

She’d stopped struggling once he’d removed the hood. Now she looked up at him, uncertainly, with those mesmerizing eyes. Familiar eyes. They’d played this game before – he and this sly fox who watched him from dark corners. A benevolent presence, he could tell on instinct, but he didn’t understand why. What did the girl want? He’d never quite managed to get this close, and now that he had her, he wasn’t letting her go without answers.

He kept hold of her shirt and demanded, “What are you doing here?”

She cleared her throat. “Um…going for a walk?”

If her eyes were a storm, her voice was opposite. It was the sun on a perfect summer day. Though he found himself unexplainably intrigued by her, he didn’t tolerate lying. He was the prince. Even mysterious women who slunk about and climbed fences were to respect him.

He narrowed his eyes. “Who are you?”

“No one.”

He gave her a firm shake. “Who are you?” His tone oozed authority. Men cowered when he demanded answers.

But not this wisp of a thing. No, she grinned – wide and mischievous like a Cheshire cat. With an eerie whisper, she answered, “A shadow.”

Then she stomped on his foot and, when he let go of her shirt in surprise, she disappeared.

Interested? I hope so cause it's coming up next. Winter of this year! I'm pounding away at it with your encouragement. So expect some snippets from this book in the next few months.

And make sure you come back on Thursday for the 18+ Blog Hop!!!
